At the very start the production logo is shown,The camera then moves down to reveal the title of the film on a curb. The cast of the film is showed as the camera shot moves down a long road to show the possibility it is in a suburban town thus showing the genre as film noir. The fourth shot shows the producer as the producer is always shown last. The fifth shot shows the beginning of the film as police cars enter the scene this shows the police theme that film noir follows. The shot then goes into a transition to show the speed of the police cars. The next shot shows the era of the film created based on the housing and technology. The film is still in the first few minutes and a body is already shown to show that death is a common thing in noir films. The Last shot shows the intense camera angles of noir films.

Sin City 9 Screen

the opening scene for sin city includes only two main colors in its credits. this is red and black, this could symbolize that there is dark and gloomy content in this film, the red also suggests that there will be blood in the film. the opening scene is a shot of a city at night, the lights from the city then turn to red to match the color scheme and introduces the 'sin city' title. there are cartoons used in the credit sequence this is to maintain a traditional story line, and it's graphic novel roots and look like the credits. the last shot is a more simple shot of the directors name, this shows the importance of this role upon the film.
